Each state has their own schedule that determines what time their offices are open throughout the week. However all cosmetology state boards observe federal holidays throughout the current calendar year. Below is the schedule that lists all federal holidays for 2018. The state offices will be closed on these days. Additionally some office locations close on other days not listed on the federal holiday schedule. For this we recommend you call your states cosmetology board to verify their hours of operations and street address.

Salon Consumer Tip
Be wary of any provider or salon who provides services that are painful or damage your skin or nails. Uses something to "pry off" artificial nails, does not use a clean, freshly laundered or disposable towel. Does not post a current license or will not show it when asked to see it, sticks fingers directly into jars or containers. Does not ask about your health (client consultation) before performing services. Safety Tip: Do not shave or wax legs at least 24 hours before getting a pedicure service.
