Louisiana Cosmetology License Renewal
Louisiana cosmetology licenses need to be renewed every year by the licensees birthday. The cost to renew your license in state is $25, $50 for out of state. At this time there is no continuing education hours required to renew your cosmetology license in Louisiana but highly recommended to stay current in this industry.
Louisiana Cosmetology License Reciprocity (Change or Transfer)
Louisiana state board of cosmetology does not have reciprocity with Texas, Kansas, Hawaii, Florida, Colorado, Connecticut, Wisconsin, Vermont, Tennessee, New york, Minnesota, Michigan, Massachusetts or Maryland. Out of state transfer applicants will need to take a NIC Exam for $25, a State Theory Exam for $25 and a practical exam for $25. They will then need to pay the reciprocity license fee of which is $50.
